Mrs. Medearis is known as THE KITCHEN DIVA! and she is the Executive Producer and host of the public television cooking show. She has written more than 90 award-winning books for children and four cookbooks. Her books have sold more than 10 million copies, and are featured on a line of animated, bilingual STORYTELLER SERIES DVDs which are narrated by Mrs. Medearis. Her works are found in schools, libraries, and bookstores around the United States and have been translated into Spanish, French, Dutch, and Japanese. She has also worked as a reading consultant for the Scholastic, Inc. and McGraw-Hill Reading Program.
Mrs. Medearis is also the founder of BOOK BOOSTERS, INC., a non-profit 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to tutoring elementary school children who need a "boost" in their self-esteem and help with their reading. Book Boosters is currently run by the Medearis’ in partnership with the Travis County 4-H after-school program. The program is conducted in 30 Austin Independent School District elementary school campuses. Book Boosters, Inc. is the sponsoring organization for ANGELA'S NOTEBOOK.
